 It doesn't matter if he's of legal age or not, have you thought of the emotional/psychological/social effect that could arise regarding your son, let alone your son's friend. You potentially compromise everything between you and your son, your son and his friend etc. Even if your son was to never find out I think you should stand a moral ground.
