Nothing left to talk about?

Question - (24 January 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 24 January 2009)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've been friends with this guy for about 6 months, we would always go to the mall or the library and sit and talk for...hours? But lately the conversation has been going dry, I feel like he knows everything about me, vice versa. So during school we would just stand there staring at the floor, both feeling like idiots. I don't understand why i can't just find something to talk about? It comes naturally with my all friends /except/ for him. :|

A female reader, lovesalias United States +, writes (24 January 2009):

lovesalias agony auntHave you talked about your futures? What will happen after school? Where you see yourselves in 5, 10, 20 years from now? Have you talked about college? Starting your own business? Ask about his interests. Join a club or school organization together. Play sports? Find out all the different activities the school has to offer like drama class, swimming class, chess club, civics club, student body government, marine science club, surf club, hip hop club, college credit courses while you attend high school so you can get some of your pre-required classes out of the way so you can focus on your major. There is a multitude of things you can bring up. You can write a story together at recess or work on a song. Be creative...ask him what his birthdate is and do some astrological research together to see what the stars say about your compatability (not that that stuff is written in stone because there are many other factors that affect compatability like upbringing, association, moon sign, acending sign so don't let it be the final thought for the two of you if your relationship is like that) Lots and lots...countless things you can bring up. Just be confident and say what it on your mind it seems like you spend a lot of time together and I am sure that he just wants to be with you even if you do nothing at all so perhaps you can bring that up as well! Good luck...I hope this helps!
