Well i find myself not really knowing what to do anymore. My boyfriend and I have been going out for the pass 2 to 3 months, and its going good.. I am 16 turning 17 and he just turned 19. The problem which I have with is with my mom ... once again i know that she did not like the fact that I had a boyfriend, maybe because he my fist (boyfriend) so its new for her as its me. I know that is very understandable, but it seem that it not passing and really starting to get to me. I told her she able to ask me about anything about that person coz it seem that’s only what that she would talk to me. But she never seems to take advantage of it. I have to like spoon feed her questions. i even ask her if she ever wants to meet him . She did not say no, she just said she not ready yet. Which is ok, but i really believe that she think the longer she can avoid the situations it would just go away, which I told her it won't. I have been to my boyfriend house met his parent even had dinner with them (it was never raking) but good no less. I find it hard to answer his question when he ask does your mom wants to meet me, and when he ask if he could come over (I cant tell him no coz my mom doesn’t want to see u are no u exist). These so much more to this but I just really don’t know what to do when it comes to this.

Hi,

It's probably very hard for your mum to come to terms with her 'little girl' growing up. I think the best thing to do would be sit down and have a chat with her - no pressure -and ask her what she is worried about (losing you?). Reassure her that she has nothing to worry about, and that although it is nothing serious with your boyfriend at the moment, you would like for her to meet him as you need her opinion on things - or something to that effect. It depends really on your mother, but hey its worth a try :) Emma x
