 I don't think your girlfriend would make a joke about painful sex.It depends on how many times she's had sex.First few times are likely to be painful.If she's done it a lot and she's still in pain,maybe you're being too rough,or if it isn't that,then maybe she should see her gynecologist.

 Is it her first time, afew times after, or has it been a while since shes had sex? In which case she means it. If not then probebly not but you really should have trust in your gf.
