She believes him and thinks they are going to get back together. He is totally leading her on. He can't just break it off with her. I hate him for being such a scum bag and want her to find out so she can quit obsessing over him, but it is not really my place to say, as it will cause friction between me and my husband, and between my husband and his friend.
