ChiRaven agony auntAlthough I'm not really an expert on Bebo, my review of their terms of service seems to indicate that you CAN, in fact, post materials there without their being posted anywhere else. Have you tried doing this? (In fact, you can have a Bebo account without even having a YouTube account, I believe.)

If this actually does work, it could explain why your friends might be upset with you. The coverage and notoriety of YouTube is much greater than that of Bebo, and your friends might well have wanted to keep their antics within a more closely guarded community.

Take the video off YouTube, apologize to your friends, and make it a point never to go beyond your word again.

How would we be able to determine if they overreacted without knowing what the contents of the video were? Did it show your friends in embarrassing situations or were you just sitting in the backyard talking?

They have every right not to want their images available to the whole outside world, especially young girls and boys. You all need protection and their parents could be very angry if they see this. It is a huge thing for some people and needs careful permission. In the business world you can't do this sort of thing without infringing people's rights to privacy. You could get sued then. However, you have found out how easy it is to expose people by mistake and this is private life not business. Yes, I reckon you need to apologise and not do anything like it again. I don't think you can get them off once you have them on? Am I right?

they are overreacting big time - they knew you were going to put it on bebo so wats the big deal?! and do they not know that you cant put a vid on bebo before putting it on youtube first? explain this to them and tell them that it is a bit childish to be fighting over a video. they need to grow up and realise that petty things like this arent worth a fight.

CGL0527 agony auntWell... Lets take things into perspective

1. Did you ask them if you could do it?

2. Was it really that bad?

3. Have you removed it yet?

Anyway you should probably say you're sorry.
