I have been dating this guy for 6 months. He is very sweet. I love him and I know he loves me. We are getting married nov2208. He isn't very affectionate. Well to me he still holds my hand and puts his arm around me. He wants me to go everywhere with him. but it seems like when we get home its different. Somebody please tell me if Im just freaking out!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (30 October 2008):

Hi - he may be shy (in reverse) in that intimacy makes him nervous in certain situations. However I want to say that my ex-husband was like this when we first went out. I felt quite 'pampered' and fussed over when we went out but as soon as we got home and the front door closed it was like we were a different couple. This situation continued and got worse when we got married and gradually it became emotional then physical abuse. It is important that you open your eyes to the rest of your relationship and see what patterns of behaviour are actually going on - keep a mini diary if you can this might help. I ignored things and it cost me. I'm not saying anything is wrong but it seems strange and you have also recognised it. If anything else concerns you post here again.
