writes:My boyfriend and I have been together for 2.5 yrs.. We get along great and love all the same things and the physical stuff is great. I am an alcoholic who is always stopping drinking. My binges have devastated him and my promises to stop are losing weight. I lost him this last tima and now he is with another and not even taking my calls or e-mails, so I stopped calling. I love this man. He said to check in in 6 months, but- no promises. What can I do? I am in limbo and going crazy while staying sober. Help please. Thank you all.

 you are doing incredibly well to stay sober, congratulations.
There are no guarantees for any of us, but by getting yourself together and staying together you have far more chance of things turning out well.
