writes:My parents moved home recently and I have been storing some boxes at my house. They were boxes from the loft so hadn't been looked at in a while, one was an old suitcase which contained some video tapes. I brought the case down and played one of the videos and was horrified to find that they were home movies of my parents having sex, another showed another man having sex with my mom while I assume my dad was filming, there are about thirty tapes and I quickly went through two, both showing my mom with other men I didn't recognise. Shall I just put the case back as it was and say nothing? I can't get the image out of my head! Reply to this Question

Hi, I think there comes a time in everyones life when they see their parents as people, not parents. I can imagine how shocked you were at what you saw. It was a little insensitve of your parents to leave the tapes at your house, with the idea that you could watch them. I wouldn't say anything to them unless you really feel you have to address it for you own sanity. When I found out about something my dad did that turned him into a person it hurt at first, but after a while I found it quite freeing realising that he wasn't perfect so I didn't have to be either.
