Jamer70 agony auntwell if you both like him you proberly have to both stop and think about your friendship. Is it more important than a guy, chances are it is.

And if it is just make a pact and move past this guy as you dont wanna fight and lose your friendship over one guy.

hello/

you need to talk to your friend and explain how you feel. He says helikes you and you say you like him but does your friend really like him or just wants to sleep with him.

If you both like him both move on and find other people its not worth falling out with your friend over a guy

A female reader, anonymous, writes (2 September 2007):

Ah... this is the age-old dilemna.

It goes in this order:

1) If you both like him & met him at the same time, then it's fair game - neither of you have first dibbs and it's up to him who he prefers.

2) If you met him first and have liked him prior to your friend meeting him AND she knows about it, then she ought to back off.

3) Same as (2) but in reverse -- i.e. you step aside.

4) If it's (2) or (3) and whoever liked him never said anything until realising you both liked him, then you can either back off or see it as a case of fair game & give him the option.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter what you guys prefer -- it really comes down to who he wants to be with.

** Just a note: if your friend wants only to sleep with him, and he says he likes you, it could be an idea to get your friend to give it a go at getting him into bed ... if he sleeps with her while he's telling you he likes you, then you'll know he's really not someone worth worrying about anyway!! **

Good luck!
