Well hello :) This is my first article on DearCupid...sorry if it's crap :) I've already answered quite a few questions on here and I'm actually really surprised at how many people have problems that are similar to ones I've had in the past. It's really lovely to know that you're never alone. But I can't help wondering how people that seem in their questions to be so lovely end up being mistreated in a relationship or having miscarriages or whatever. I've had a miscarriage and it's not nice, yet it always seems to happen to the sweetest of people who really don't deserve it. I mean, I have a friend who's step-mum died of cancer, biological mum was a sever alcoholic and hung herself and her best friend (my sister) died of malaria, yet she's the nicest, most cheerful person I've ever met and I love her to pieces. Does anyone else know of any people like my friend who seem to constantly be smiling and yet have all this shit in their past? Cos it just makes you realise that being happy and loving and being loved is the most important thing in this world. You can't dwell on the past or get stuck thinking about all the crap things that might happen to you in the future..you just have to live in the present and appreciate all the good things that you have. It's a really good motto to live by, but it's also one of the hardest. Cos if someone's just ended your relationship or you've lost a baby, or you're underage and pregnant and don't know what to do, it's so hard to count your blessings. I guess you just have to try as hard as possible. I really hope that this might help anyone who's upset about something at the moment and can help them look forward, pick themselves up and carry on with their lives in a happy and optimistic manner. After all, no one likes a cynic. :)
