 Hi there.
My advice would be to call her. Not to get her back. Just tell her how you feel. But dont hassel her. Just say you'll still be there for her as a friend if she ever needs it.
Maybe she'll want to get back too, but dont get your hopes up, and dont push her to date you again. Good luck x

reader, anonymous, writes (10 September 2006): Ive been in this situation before, and one of my friends is going through it at the moment, basicly, if you ring her all the time, and keep hasteling her, it will get you nowhere, give her a bit of room, but still talk to her to remind her of you, and then what happens happens

Maybe you could write her a nice letter, telling her how you feel and that you miss her, and that you'll always be there for her if she changes her mind or needs you? Then it's time to move on and see what happens sadly.
A letter is somehow more meaningful, as it takes great time and effort to write down how you feel as opposed to a brief informal text or a call that puts her on the spot and could be awkward or feel like pressure.
