I am exactly the same. My secret fear is that I will say something and people will ignore me - something less likely to happen when there are less of you. When I am in a big group, I try to engage the person next to me in one on one conversation. If this is not possible, I sit and people watch. Just because we are not the life and soul of the party does not mean we are not liked. People talk to me one to one because they think I am a good listener. As you get older you are more accepting of who you are and see the benefits of having your own individual personality. We are all different - thank goodness.

you maybe dont like hanging round in crowds because trouble always starts with a gang easier than a few people and its understandable that you dont like trouble. the only thing i can really suggest is keep hanging round with the crowds of friends if your happy with that and give it time youll get use to the kind of things to talk about. it may feel uncomftorble for a while but adventually you will feel comftorble.
