A female , anonymous writes:

hi, im 16 and im goin to a theme park thats a good 5 hours away, w/ my bf and some of his family. The problem is i think im gonna be on my period and that would suck so bad, i would feel so weird like asking to stop and stuff and needing to go to the bathroom a lot if im heavy. I jus dont know what to do but i really want to go, i can use tampons so is there a kind that any women think is best for comfort and protection? or any advice on how to make it the best and most comfortable time as if i wasnt on my period???

A female reader, Toria +, writes (25 September 2006):

Toria agony auntIf your worried about being heavy and the travelling with no means to keep going bathroom I would suggest using a tampon and possibly wearing a sanitary towel as an extra protection and comfort, I would go for a towel thats got extra protection for heavy periods and possibly a nighttime one with wings just to be completely sure.

I hope this helps :o)
