Mainly due to the fact of me just being extremely shy; I just can't ask a girl out. I have been close to girls before, but everything just kinda fizzles out (why, I don't know).
I used to feel bad, but now I just don't care.

Hi, no, there is nothing wrong with you. Im almost 21 and I've never been in a relationship either. I just look at it as though Im waiting for the right guy to come around who will make me smile and want to wake up every morning rather then settling for something random or not real.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 November 2008): well i dont think there is anything wrong with you. it may be uncommon though. you have to ask yourself some questions though. why havnt you had a boyfreind or been on a date? have you not been interested in dating, or maybe just not found anyone yet? there is nothing wrong with having not dated. you will when your ready or find the right person.

We can't say if there's something wrong (age has nothing to do, you're quite young) if you don't know or tell us the reasons why you haven dated someone.
Haven't you fall in love? have you been asked out? have you rejected? are you too shy? do you know/accept you sexual preferences? are you scared of something? are your standars too high?
Find the reason, if it's all normal there'n nothing wrong, you're only looking for the right guy. Just remember that a relationship is build day by day and accepting differences.
