I've been thinking of telling him that I either want to take things a little slower or ending it entirely.

A female age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Should I stay or should I go? I've been dating a guy I work with for the last couple of months (but he's only really stepped up and done gentleman-like things a couple weeks ago). He took me out to dinner on valentine's day and bought me flowers. He did so much for the date that I thought he deserved a good night kiss (even though I didn't really want to). I have the overwhelming feeling that as much as I want to like this guy, I don't. I haven't really dated seriously before so I'm unsure if my reservations about the relationship stem from that or the fact that I really don't like him.

I've been thinking of telling him that I either want to take things a little slower or ending it entirely. I would appreciate any help on the topic, including how to break the bad news to the guy without hurting his feelings terribly and without making things super awkward for us at work.
