I've just started dating this guy but I can't tell if he's shy or intimidated by me! I had to make the first move because of his shyness, and when we go out together i have to instigate all conversation.

I really like him and don't want to give up on him but his shyness is frustrating! Is there anything I can do to help draw him out of his shell?

Any help will be much appreciated =^_^=

Your guy sounds like me a few years ago. Just talk to him like you are, even if it seems like you're getting nowhere. For him this might not work, because the ice might not really be breaking. You can have a conversation with anyone and not be completely comfortable.

You need to do something crazy and weird to break him out. This sounds gross, but burp or fart around him and see what happens. This is intimate in a way, because you don't do this around strangers. He'll probably start laughing his head off, and it makes a familiar bond. It might be embarrassing, but it works. Spill a drink, or do anything that would be hard to ignore and react naturally to without calculating a safe response. Trust me.
