 if you're on IM it will be much easier to be straight forward without having to be face-to-face. You have the ability to log off :)There aren't any magical words integrated into his "hey how are you" on IM that will tell you that he likes you. You just have to use your common sense. Does he IM you the second that he gets online? Does he act flirty? If he does, then just follow psychiatrist-to-be's advice. And don't worry if you dont get an answer that you like. You still have many years of bible camp!

 You could just bring up "Old Times" in conversation. Get talking and laughing about it all, then just ask him if there's anything still there.
Straightforward questions really is the best way, but it's how you intergrate them into conversation that's important.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 August 2009): Just asking and being straightforward is the best way to know. If he says yes, and you feel the same, tell him so. If he says no, just say you were only wondering or it seemed like he did so you just wanted to ask. Hope this helps.
