Is removing pubic hair really all that important?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I've always been slightly worried what boys would think about pubic hair when I'm ready to have sex, as I am about most things involving my first time.

I've heard that they like it shaved. LOTS of boys do, the majority apprantly. I always thought that trimmed would be ok.

I trim my pubic hair, I don't let it grow wild. But I don't shave it ALL off. For a start, I tried once and just cut my self, it did'nt work and everything was spikey.

I would use a hair removal cream, but I'm worried about what it will do to my vagina. Do I have to carefully place it round or can I slap it on and not worry about my fanny melting off? Lol. :P

Now if it's true, that boys only like it completey shaved, that's annoying. I want sex to be enjoyable for both of us, but if that means I have to shave completey down there or he'll be disgusted with me - thats just stupid!

Sure, it's more hygenic...I guess? But even though I feel I might be embarassed about my pubic hair when I have sex, I think I would feel more comfortable if it was neat, tidy and clean than shaved bald. Hey, it's natural. Kk, underarm hair is gross. But pubic hair isnt all that bad, isnt it?

John-

Trimmed is perfection. Someone who don't like trimmed pubes is an ALIEN! Seriously, a sane man would see no problem with your hairs trimmed, they could only "prefer" another way, which you can't know unless you ask, they tell you or you read minds. I hope you don't read minds. Do you? o_o

What you could do is to let your prospective lover see a few of your hairs escaping from one side of your panties or bikini. If this gets him excited, then he likes pubic hair. If he refers to them disparagingly, then pretend to be so embarrassed that he has seen them and shave them off.

deejuliet agony auntAll guys are differant. Mine personally does not like the completely shaved look as he feels it is womanly to have pubic hair. Shaving it all off makes you look like a little girl and he says he would feel like a pedofile doing it with a girl with no hair! I keep myself shaved along the edges so I dont look like a monkey, just trim and tidy. And it is not more hygenic to shave, it is the way G-d made you for a reason.
