hey,

well i've known him since i was 13; just only my best friends & his best friends that we really trust know about it; my dad has found out twice & he talks about calling the cops but i always say they cant do anything;

we are not haveing sex our relationship is based on love & trust & we know sex can wait until we are married we know it's not the base of a relationship... but i'll make sure i go to the police station and ask about the laws. it said on the internet a few months back when i saw then it said i could be sixteen and older to date an older guy.. with it being okay .. i just had to make sure of it. okay

thanks much;

I would suggest that you don't listen to everyone on the Internet. Call your local police station and ask them, that's what I did. And don't worry about what everyone says about your age. I was 22 when my gf (now wife of many years) moved in with me, she was 16 - but it was legal in this state, we made sure. We are still very happy. Just make sure he is really the one for you and be careful, you don't want to get him in trouble. Every state has different (arbitrary) laws about this. As hard as it might be, if it's illegal, try to wait before having sex. You can still spend time together, there's nothing illegal about that, and the relationship will be more healthy if not based on sex anyway! Take all relationships in your life very seriously. There's no such thing as just "fooling around", IMO. Also don't hide this relationship if you can. Do everything in public. If you aren't screwing then no one can blame him for wanting you for sex if you are friends! Maybe kissing but keep the rest in public and not in the dark where you will surely end up having sex. That could actually place more strain on a relationship that might otherwise survive!

I have faith in young love because it worked for me and I refuse to believe every couple is matched later in life. And I think teens have a strong sense of individuality. Take yourself seriously and be careful.

God bless you.

Jamer70 agony auntIts illeagal for you to have a sexual relationship as you are not 18 yet. As for a romantic one i dont think so, but i wouldnt as america is very strict about child protection.

I suggest you find someone your own age, or wait 2 years.
