Is it worth it trying to get him to talk?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend doesn't communicate well. He holds his feelings in, he plays the silent treatment game, he's a brat. For the two months we've been together, most has been great, and some in between has been NOT great. I've been trying to get him to speak his feelings. I'm not his shrink y'know, but I really like him and I really wanted a healthy relationship with him. He made me happier than most guys I've ever been with. He's a really loving guy when he's happy. He makes me feel like I'm home.

He and I are very jealous people, and I feel like that's what most of are arguments are about. Even old jealousy that's still lingering in our minds gets brought out and causes trouble.

We have been fighting this entire week. I got him to admit on Wednesday that he's been giving me the silent treatment because he's jealous of ex-boyfriends. We were fine on Wednesday. Thursday rolls around and it's back to silence, and this time I didn't attempt to get him to talk to me I just kept my distance.

Friday night he broke up with me.

I miss him.

Is it worth trying to get him to talk? This relationship is difficult but I'm willing to go through hell to get back to heaven. I believe in him.

Should I try to get him back?

Should I give up?
