writes:OK so from reading a lot of people's questions, i have one myself. My question is, is it ok to have any sexual desires towards your cousins? would that be called incest? or would incest only apply to relationships between father/daughter or daughter/brother??? i'm really confused.

reader, anonymous, writes (31 December 2008): It depends on the laws in your state/province and country. Usually those laws define incest. Couins have been known to marry legally in some U.S. states and other countries. So I would check the laws where you live.
There is nothing wrong with having sexual desires toward a member of the opposite sex that you are related to. Feelings aren't right or wrong, they just are, and you can't help what you are feeling. Just because some people or even governments may say it's wrong doesn't necessarily mean it's wrong for you. Only you can decide what is right and wrong for you. Go with what you feel, weigh the possible consequences, and make the decision that you feel is right for you.

 Anybody who is related farther than your second cousin is called acceptable. anyone else (cousin, brother, aunt , uncle, nephew, niece, etc.) is considered incest.

yes and no. While you may have desires for your cousins
you have to look at the big picture. If you give into your fantasies how would your family feel if they found out. Then you would have to worry if there was a pregnancy while the risk of birth defects are low you would be looked down upon. 1st cos. no 2nd & 3rd maybe. But realise its stii family and there are so many other fish in the sea. Incest is mother son,father son,daughter, sister brother,aunt niece nephew, In other words if it feels wrong
