it's what you do with it that matters.... do you want to tell him how you feel?

 Yes it's okay but unless it interferes with your friendship, I wouldn't really bring it up with him. I also would try not to fantasise about him to the point where you think you have a chance to be with him because that could leave you broken hearted.
If your feelings get too much then I'd maybe talk to him about, but it could either make things awkward between you or he may just be flattered.
