I finishing my seventh year of university studies this year and I expect my dating prospects to plummet once I'm working full-time meeting the same pool of office workers on a daily basis. I have some great memories in university but I certainly didn't find "the one".

How does dating and finding a life partner change after university? What have your experiences been? What would you have done differently?

Personally I would say unless you keep your social life up the same as it was at university, and continue going out to places where there are single people, then dating prospects do drop. You definitely have to make more of an effort if you want to be in situations where you will find dates.

I do think that worrying about being alone is one of the most common feelings that people have though and you are certainly not alone in how you are feeling. In fact I would say there are probably more people who feel worried than people who are just happy with themselves.

Lots of people finish university without finding the one and equally just as many people find partners in the years following university, so there is nothing wrong with how your life has gone so far, you just need to have more confidence in the future and not feel like the best time has passed you.
