You wont know if he likes you until you go out together try dropping a hint in 1 of the conversations like have been to that resturant or something like that. True say he could just be being friendly but you arent going to know until you both go out together are you?

It can be either way. Just keep chating and if you are meant to hook up then you would. Dont come on too strong b/c if that isnt how he feels then you could risk the great friendship that you two could have had. Play it cool. If you know that he doesnt have a gf then you could ask him about going for a drink or a movie. Just find out everything you need to know beforehand.
