Is being a best friend with benefits a recipe for disaster?

Question - (2 January 2008) 2 Answers - (Newest, 2 January 2008)
A female Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Me and my ex dated for five months last year. We are now best friends. But considering our history, there's always that sexual tension between us. We ended up making out when we hung out the other day. We talked about it and decided it meant nothing... but now we kiss everytime we hang out. Is being a best friend with beneifts okay?! Or a recipe for disaster?

A reader, anonymous, writes (2 January 2008):

It never works out cos if either of you meet some one new the other is guaranteed to be jealous and both you end up losing the friendship you have now.

Either end the physical side to this friendship or get back together properly and make it "official" between the 2 of you...

Other wise its not gonan work.

Almost always. It depends on what you can handle and i think you need not fall in love with her as you may end up hurt.Go for it if you can handle it emotionally.

Take care.
