What GCSE grades do I need to get to be able to study law? Do I really need a maths GCSE to be able to study law? Basically I'm just asking if anyone has any useful information on the topic. Thanks. Well to get into most Unis i believe a C in the core subjects are important (i.e Maths, English, Science) regardless of the subject.
For Law degree i think a English A Level some unis require different subjects so you will have to look into this yourself
But as for GSCEs C and above are important

i dont think maths is a huge requirement to study law but it probably helps to have a C or above in this subject. I cant really relate as maths was my best subject. i went on to study law at college for a level and it was amazing it was so intersting, if the place you are staying at for further education does this course i highly recommend it. If you are talking about studying law at uni then you have to look at the requirements for the different uni's. nottingham has higher standards than bournemouth. one of my mates only got a C and too EE at a level and still studied the course at bournemouth uni. i think english is the most important subject you need for law. they let me do law and i got 1 A* for Maths, 3 B's, 4 C's (English), 2 D's

If you want to study law at University then you will be applying for one of the most competitive course and they will probably prefer you to have maths GCSE as well as a good lot of A Levels. I don't think that you need to have any specific A-Levels but research university courses and see what their requirements are. The other important thing is to show Universities that you are a well rounded person. Try to get some work experience at a law firm so you know what you are getting into and also to show your commitment. Any voluntary work or extra-curricular activities such as music or sport will also boost your application. Good luck and I hope that you succeed in whatever you choose!! xxxx
