A female Swaziland age 41-50, *eendy writes:

I have a boyfriend of two years who seems not to trust me.He claims it's because of my past with him, which was when we were dating. When he is upset he makes hurtful remarks and does not apologise after we've reconciled. I do everything there is to show him that i love him,but seems not appreciate. I'm becoming tired of this behaviour and sometimes even think of leaving him but i love him so much .

A female reader, anonymous, writes (11 January 2010):

It doesn't matter how much you love him, he's not going to change. If you don't leave him, he's just going to keep stomping all over your heart. By your actions you are telling him he can treat you however he wants, and you will still stay with him. Get some self respect and dump the jerk.
