 first of all age doesnt matter wen ur in love and im happy that ur so happy with the guy ur with.if its been goin on for 4 yrs i think u should tell ur mum sooner rather than later.she will probably be more hurt and angry knowing that u have kept it from her for so long.she will probably be angry at first but once u explain to her that u are in love and he with you,and that u both are mature in this relationship then she will gradually come to terms with it.all she wants for u is for u to be happy and she'll see that u are.tell her and u will feel much more at ease and a weight will be lifted

If you are really in love with this guy and he is in love with you and your both very happy then no one has the right to judge you, you do however need at some stage to introduce this man to your mum, give her time to adjust babes, if your happy together and he treats you right your mum will soon come round don't worry....It will be a shock for her you know that but the only way is to tell her you love each other a lot and you both make each other happy and you hope she will be happy for you ...

reader, anonymous, writes (16 June 2007): If you are happy hunny then don't worry about telling your mum, i was seeing someone who was about 20 years older than me and my parents were cool with it, infact my friend is 21 and her guy is 59 they have been together for over four years and they are really happy, she was afraid about telling her mum but in the end it was all fine so don't worry just tell her!
