This seems strange. Whenever I go out to the public I here people say "she is so ugly, or that girl is ugly!" I am not sure if they are referring to me, or it is just my head that is messing with me, or I am just hearing things? This really makes me upset! I don't know why they would say these things. However, I still think they are referring to me. Saying that I am ugly. Please help! Thanks.

Its strange but reality that people will blurt out things like that. You must get confortable in your own skin and learn to accept who you are not everyone is gonna think your pretty. I know not everyone thinks I am. Also you will have good days and stick to feel good dont let them get you down.

Remeber though friends dont look at alooks they look at personality and if your personality is up beat and positive you will feel that way and will transfer to your beauty.

I was recently on the subway and was coming back from the barn. I had a bad fall and well felt bad these two teenager a bit younger then me sat across and were saying how uguly I was and makin fun of everything about me. Well of course this didnt make me feel any better but I knew my reasons and was tempted when leaving telling them."You would looked messed up too after a fall off a horse." but i didnt. Looks have overrun the society now and it is a big pressure on teens but the first step to anyone to be pretty is personatliy. So some peple are born with beauty and there beauty gets them places but in the long run if their personality stinks they will never get the long term close friends and will be a floater, as I call them.

Accept yourself and then others will too. Good luck i know its hard, but you can do it in time

P.S. im sure you are very pretty just have low-selfessteem and the people who dont find you their type are no help...you just have to block them out

nologo agony auntThis may be treated in different ways.

I will only give you two explanations.

First, you do not really have much influence over what is presented as "ugly girl" or "pretty girl" in your area.

By this I mean that it's unreasonable to agree with someone else's definitions if you feel uncomfortable over it.

Second, it's quite possible that "female role models" chosen by you are inadequate to your type of personality.

My advice to you is simple: do not keep up to Hilton sisters.

kellyO agony auntHi,

I think it is strange too becos i know people in generally are not that mean. I know people stare sometimes when they see something unusual but just out of curiosity most times.

How do u feel about yourself? We are all beautiful in one aspect or the other. There is nothing as a ugly person, becos we are all creations of God and he is beautiful.

Work through yourself if u have anything u arent confidence about. Confidence alot of times is seen by many as beauty, elegant or sexy.

To bring out my confidence i go for a new makeover all the time, from a new hair do, clothing and makeup.

I would just ignore anything that is i feel is being said and show everything iam proud or my own skin!

Goodluck dear.
