writes:Hi everyone! Me nd my bf just started dating but we've been friends for a while now. The Thing is we work together and bc of that my mom docent approve of us being together and it's not just that he is 24 I'm 21 he didn't finish collage but told me he plans on going back. My mom doesnt think I should date him bc we work together, he hasn't finished school, he smokes but is trying to quit but my mom doesn't even know he and already doesn't like him. He's a really nice guy nd he the first guy I've dated that treats me right. We get along great of course we have ups nd downs but at the end of the day we can work it out. He try's his best to make me happy.. This my mom doesn't know... What should I do? I want to be with him but I don't want her to meet him nd start putting him down bc he doesn't have it all together yet... and I want her to like him so he can spend time with me and my family.? What should I do?!?

hello! You're right this is a very important problem but the reason i think your mom doesnt like him is because she doesn't know him, so i advice you to tell him that and make him go and meet your mom face to face for lunch for example. maybe she thinks that he is still a wild teenager because he is 24 and didnt finish college_that's what most parents think_ so make him prove himself if u really like him and he really likes u
