 Why play a numbers game?......does the age matter if you get on well?If you are worried about it at this stage maybe you would be concerned about it all when you decide to be with him permanently. You should be feeling fine about things.....if in doubt DON'T........why would you do something you feel negative about?? Your choice.

 Personally i don't think 6 or seven years is that much of a gap really, and you are above the age on consent. Age gaps invariably only ever become a problem is either of the people concerned have got issues with it. If you are both ok with the age gap then there is no reason whatsoever why it should not work.
In a few years when you are 21 and he is 28 it will hardly be noticable.
