Now, the most important thing about having your first kiss is to not overthink about it. Let it go with the flow. Don't practice before hand, just let it go. Giving a kiss comes very natural for a human. Try to not worry if she'll like it or not, just kiss her when the time comes.
And a good way to know when she wants to have the kiss is by looking her at her eyes. Something in them will tell you and when you have realized this, kiss her! Don't hesitate or you'll probably regret it.
Now good luck on your first kiss. I hope it's magical!

As for lip positioning? Say this really relaxed: Kiss. STOP! Pause on that last part of 'ss'. Relax ever so slightly, the pout them out in the tiniest bit. Don't make them hard or anything, just a little firm.
And don't worry about tongues...you're twelve. I didn't start french kissing until I was fourteen.
