writes:ok, I'm so insecure. i feel ugly without makeup, because of my freckles. so i really like this guy, but he talks about sleeping over, I'm really worried though, that if he sees me without makeup he'll think differently or think I'm ugly. i really like him, but he's far better looking than i am. i hate my insecurity. help?

reader, anonymous, writes (30 May 2010): I used to be like this around everyone and because (don't judge me for labelling myself) but I do have a sort of gothic style and wear a lot of eyeliner, anyway I would NEVER go a day without it then I thought to myself "I can't be bothered doing this anymore" and for the past year I can go out without eyeliner and such on and most people don't even notice at all! And loads of people prefer me without eyeliner. We all seem to have a warped view of ourselves but seriously make up only enhances our beauty, it doesn't create it.
I bet be either won't notice or won't care ;D
This is written by the girl who has her hair scraped back and no make up on apart from mascara today.

Only you can fix your insecurities honey but you need to start realising that people dont like you because of the make up your wearing, the like you because of who you are.
Your age says you are still young, if this is your first then would you really want to lose it to a man who you think wont like you without your make up on?
How long have you been seeing this man for? If you feel insecure and this is a new relationship then wait a while. If he wont wait then he wasn't worth it anyway.
If he will wait a little longer then this gives you a little more time to get your confidence with this man and realise he likes you for being you.
I am sure you are a very pretty girl and probably don't even need all of the make-up.
I noticed your from England, watch BBC Three on sky one night and look for a programe called Snog, Marry, Avoid and it has lots of people who think they are ugly without their make up but the POD will give them a make under and remove all of their make up to show a natural beauty. I think by watching this you will see that Men dont look at the make up they look at the whole package when they are looking for something meaningful.

im sure you're beautiful, so dont worry,
it sounds corny but if he dosent like you without make up, then how amazing is he? not worth it if he thinks any different of you.
I know what you mean though, i feel horrible without make up, it's like a body part is missing without it on haha,
if it's that much of an issue, sneek some make up on before he wakes up ;)
