So_Very_Confused agony auntAll the men I have ever known have had hair growing up the shaft of the penis… it’s NORMAL. Thoughtful men will shave the hair on the shaft so the partner does not get hair stuck in their teeth…

My partner is very hairy and he finds intercourse more comfortable if he’s shaved or trimmed very very close.. other than that hair is not an issue and the hair follicles that look like pimples are NOTHING to worry about

Masturbation before after and during marriage is not a problem as long as it’s not taking away from the sexual attention due to the wife…

What he said (unknown2u), and additionally, masturbation is completely healthy. If men don't masturbate, it comes out in other ways, so you might as well enjoy doing it.

A male reader, unknown2u United States +, writes (8 June 2012):

1.) Every penis is different, just as every vulva is different. There can be hairs sticking out where you don't think they should be, all kinds of things. You've seen a doctor, he's told you you're fine, so chill. Seriously, the woman you want to marry won't have any idea what it's 'supposed' to look like anyway.

2.) There are two parts to this question. Boys masturbate. It happens, it's normal, it keeps us sane until we have a sexual relationship. So masturbating to images in you mind, in your imagination, it's not problem at all. Even if it's several times a day.

However, if you're watching porn, that's a different thing. Lots of porn has nothing to do with what happens in a real relationship. So if you're getting ideas from porn, that can be very bad when you actually get intimate with a girl. Do not expect a girl to do things, let alone LIKE things, you've seen in porn. That's a relationship killer.

But just jerking off? No problem.
