I heard from different people that putting tiger balm on your clit makes the pleasure intensify. Is this true or just something someone came up with? Also would it cause any problems if I tried it?

A female reader, RaDonnasdream United States +, writes (5 January 2013):

It was a quiet afternoon and I was getting ready for a date.

Well in the process I intended to include a little masterbation before going out, I was feeling pretty sexy.

Needless to say I took a little dab of tiger balm and put it directly to mt clit. Well if you know tiger balm well you know it has a delay of 3 or 4 minutes before warming up. Well all was going well and I was getting pretty warmed up myself only to have my fun take a total and complete nose dive.

Tiger balm burn and I mean call 911 burns.

In a frenzy I took to the tub to try and wssh it off, to no avail.

We are talking about hell here, any hope of an orgasm washed down the toilet, but it gets worse.

I end up legs apart running my clit under cold water or over two hours! I missed my date, miss out on an orgasm. It was awful!

Do yourself a huge favor and dont even bother destroying your day with this stuff on your genitals! Ues it for intended purpose! Thanks

It can (think pleasure-pain), but if you want to experiment with it, start with a teeny bit and see what you think. As others have mentioned, you can try toothpaste for a similar tingling sensation (easier to wipe off if you don't like the sensation).

Not everyone has a problem with it and I wouldn't recommend trying it. I have myself I admit but I myself have no problems with it as some people don't

Ouch! You'd be mad to try I think! I use tiger balm all the time for headaches and muscular pains and I did transfer it to the wrong place once by not washing my hands after applying it. The sensations experienced could not be described as either erotic or pleasurable.

Don't get it in your eyes either!

I respect the cautious views of the other answerers, but I have used the Balm on my penis and on my partner's clit, with fantastic effect!

It engorges the parts and increases sensitivity no end, taking us into another dimension....

I have never had any ill-effects or irritation from its use and nor has she, but we are all different and others are right to urge caution.

A similar effect can be had from toothpaste (YES!) and it can be quickly and earily washed off it it doesn't suit you. Tiger Balm is grease-based and will stay on toy for a while so you need to be sure that you are ok with it.

Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy it.

Fatherly Advice agony auntI guess I'm just curious why you would want to put a heating ointment on your most sensitive part. Does it wash off easily? I know, it was considered quite a hoot amongst high school boys to put muscle rubs in athletic supporters. The victims never looked like they were experiencing pleasure.

Why not get some Utopia from Durex, or some other female arousal gel, there are dozens. They are made specifically for use on your clitoris. You can find them in the family planing section of your drug store.

Dazed~Confused agony auntDO NOT PUT THAT ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR GIRLIE PARTS!

If you look at the warnings on Tiger Balm it says to keep it away from sensitive areas, mucus membranes.

You could get a chemical burn or irritation down there because of that. It's not worth the risk...

Go to the drug store, they have all sorts of lubes and warming creams/lotions that you can use to help stimulate that area.
