I think we're interested in each other, but we can't get past smiling and small talk.

Three years ago I was introduced to someone. He took a shine to me and me to him and I said I'd call him but I didn't. I really regret it because over the past 3 years I've come to realise that I care a lot for him and want to give it a chance. I don't really know why I didn't phone him; I suppose because I felt it would upset things within our group if it didn't work out.

He still seemed to like me but has always acted differently with me when people are around. When his friends are around he ignores me but when they are looking away he smiles and talks to me. My friends think the way he acts it's obvious he is interested but I've told him (texted him to ask - both very shy!)

I would like to try again and he's just blanked the issue. Most of his friends think we should be together but I'm not sure if he does actually like me..? I think one, maybe two, of his friends had a passing like to me and maybe that's the reason he won't do anything or he's shy of being hurt again or because we're friends..?

I really really like him and don't know what to do? Haven't felt like this about anyone else. Please help.

If you dont go for it, you might regret it in years to come, it might be the start of a great relationship. If he says no, then you wont of lost anything. Good luck.
