I passed gas while on a date and now I'm embarrassed to see the guy!

A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hello, I'm 18 and I really like this guy who's 29. I ended up working in a physics department where he works as well. He's really sweet and nice, and he saw me looking at him continuously again and again, I just go red and turn my head the other way, but one time he winked at me. And a few days ago, he came up to me after work, and he gave me this lovely bouquet of red roses and asked me if I'd like to go out with him. I chickened up a bit but then said yes. He took me to a fancy restaurant and after we were done he said he wanted to show me a surprise. We drove up a hill and he took me by my hand and we sat and looked at a stunning view with stars. His smile is just too charming and spontaneous. I have a stomach reflex when I have a feeling, and suddenly by mistake I farted loudly. He laughed a deep but friendly laugh, I was gonna cry, but while he was laughing he hugged me and kissed me on the cheek saying "Don't worry 'bout it. It's perfectly normal" But I'm really embarrassed, since this last date, which was 2 days ago, I've been kinda avoiding him, because when he comes near, I say he said it's normal, but then I chicken out and run away. He called me several times and I answered, and now he isn't calling too much for not looking like a fool I think.

How do I confront this? I Really LIKE him! But I chicken out each time he comes by!

Itxi agony auntHe's already told you that he doesn't mind! Just talk to the guy, have a laugh.

He's calling less because he thinks you aren't interested, not because you farted. Talk to the man.

cooListic kid agony auntWhen you see him next just pretend it didn't happen. I think your looking way too much into it! You just need to learn to laugh things off...he seems really into you and i wouldn't let something silly like a fart wreck something that could be awesome!! he doesn't seem bothered by it so you shouldn't either!
