writes:this a bit of a hard and weird question to be asking but i am a bit worried, i am on the contraceptive pill and obviously i have missed a few pills in the month that i am now in and on the 16th nov a few days ago i had unprotected sexual intercourse, i am coming to the end of my contraceptive pack, but i am worried as i missed a few, could i have fallen pregnant?

 Hi - you could be pregnant it depends on a number of factors such as the stage in your Cycle when you had sex, how long you have been on the Pill in total, how many pills you missed and so on. With older females you would probably get away with it but teenage girls tend to be very fertile. My own daughter got pregnant when she missed a few pills. Best thing to do is to get a home pregnancy kit and use it when enough time has elapsed. Assuming your period comes try and take your Pill regularly! Good luck.

The point of taking those pills is that you take one every day. Especially in the second or third week. When you forgot to take some, where they in a few days in a row? Did you read the pack instructions and see what to do when you miss a pill? If you didn't follow these steps, of course there is a chance you could be pregnant.
Especially if you were irresponsible enough to continue having sex without further protection. You'll have to wait it out and see if you are pregnant. Maybe next time be a little more responsible? Or perhaps stop having sex?
