I miss the closeness we once used to have

A female United Kingdom age 51-59, anonymous writes:

Im having a long distant relationship and have been for the last year...we had a row and i ended it but 2 weeks later i sent him an email saying that i missed him and wanted him back...i really did grovel..anyway he said that he loved me but we were damaged due to a few rows in the past...but he couldn't walk away.I cant see him at the moment due to his commitments with a member of his family being ill so we are having short emails at the moment. The problem is...even though we are talking again he is cold towards me...like there's no warmth to his emails...no kisses...just basic, average conversations...i know i did hurt him but his rather cool emails are upsetting me.He said he wanted to take one step at a time...as he's stressed out at work etc...am i being too over sensitive? I just miss the closeness we used to have.
