A female Ireland age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I recently went to a close friends house Party this was the first time i went out in weeks. I never really see much of my friends since they are all at collage. At my friends house Party I met this guy. I never seen him before So i asked my friend who was he. He told me his name and he also told me that he thought the guy was Gay. I didnt think much of what he said Coz i really fancied thisguy . We all started to have a few drink and some of us went outside. My friend introduced me to the boy ( We,ll call him Matt ). When we shook hands he smiled at me and told me that I had really soft hands. Naturally I blushed then he was called by one of my friends who knew i liked him.During the time i was there we swapped a few flirty smiles and i sometimes caught him looking at me. A while later I asked one of my friends to ask him did he like me. I was really nervous as i never heard or known anyone to fancy me. So one of my friends came back and said that he had said "He did like me and he would go out with me if he didnt have a girlfriend " I really likethis boy and i want to get to know him more ( In a friendly way ) but we wont see each other with Him at collage and a bit of a distance I need help

You said that you liked him, and you want to get know him in a friendly way? I don't see any problem with becoming his friend. As long as you honestly want to be friends. Maybe ask a friend of a friend for his number? If you are wanting that friendship to become something more, I would stay well away. He has a girlfriend, you deserve better than a being a bit on the side.

Honestly, I would try and forget about this lad. Go out, have fun and show him what he is missing.

Good luck
