A male United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I like my best friends sister. I had a couples girlfriends but my mind always goes back to her. We went to prom together, but I don't know if it was because she wanted to go with me or she didn't want to go alone. She dragged me on the dance floor a couple of times but I don't know what that means.

I am the one who asked that question. I'll admit I am very shy, so if you have any ideas on how to get rid of the shyness, I will gladly follow through on the advice. I also don't want things to feel awkward between us. I have been close to my best friend ever since I moved here. I go to most of his family outings and I know his extended family so if I tell his sister and if she doesn't feel the same way than it will feel very awkward.

Why don't you ask your best friend if his sister has said anything about you since the prom. If there is anyone you should ask other than her, it would be your friend.

Maybe she has been waiting for you to ask her out since the prom. If you're too shy to approach her, it would make very little difference if she likes you.

If she had to "drag" you onto the dance floor, will she have a good time if she agrees to go out on a date; or will she have to do all the work?

Try to work on not being too shy. If she likes you, make it worth her time.
