I have had a friend for about six years now and I began to fancy him so I asked him out but he said No. Now he is avoiding me and whenever I try to talk to him he replies akwardly as though he wants to just walk off but not hurt my feelings.

What should i do?

It seems that your friend feels that it will completely destroy the relationship. I know exactly how you feel. I had a friend that I feel in love with but when I told him he didn't want to talk to me. It's now been 1 year and I still haven't had any contact. Don't lose him as a friend; talk to him and if he won't, dont stop trying.
