Can anyone help me control my emoutions? My dad always shouts at me and stuff, and I end up crying. (I am a VERY emotional person, whether it is laughing or crying.) I don't want to let him know he has hurt me and won. But I just can't keep my tears at bay. What can I do to stop this?

This can be considered verbal abuse. If you cannot talk to your dad and tell him how he upsets you, then seek out another adult to confide in. Or, tell a counselor at school who will or should know what to do. But, whatever, get help with this problem because physical abuse could be just around the corner! Good luck.
