How can you find help, if your problems are very unique?

I tried to get help for years, for my problems, from psychologists and counselors , but even them, they rated them to difficult to deal with. As many big problems in life gets tangled up, and becomes the

" big picture", and you don't know where to look for answers. I have too many problems they say. I want to know, what I was causing , and what came from just from chance, or luck. I also "qualified" as, a very unfortunate person, to the point, that people feels I doomed, and better to stay away from me. I m not trying to be negative, but a lots of tragedy behind me and a head of me on this point. But the question is where can I turn for help, and answers,if my problems are not general and hard to help them? Some people suggested, only God knows the answer. I wonder if it is my only way to come up with any answer ,or help. Thanks

A male reader, idoneitagain Australia +, writes (8 June 2011):

Firstly, you are right your problems are unique, but this is true of everyone. People may have similar conditions, but everyone's life experience is unique, and their problems are too. Having unique problems does not prevent you from solving your problems, or getting help from others to help you in solving your problems.

There is no such thing as problems too difficult to deal with. Not all problems can be solved, or removed, or cured, sometimes problems do not go away, but we can all find a way to deal with the problems we face. We may not like how we have to deal with them, but we always have choices, some choices better than others. Sometimes the most we can do it take small steps in the right direction, instead of the wrong direction.

Some problems come from within us, sometimes from the world we are born into and live in. Whichever is the case, we always have a choice of what we do next, what we will choose to do in this moment to make things better or worse for ourselves.

You can turn to yourself for help, and you can turn to others for help. You have tried going to some people for help, but you say none of them have really been of much help to you. That does not mean that there is no one who will be able to help you. Keep trying different people, different things. Persevere. Find what works for you. Keep choosing the things that work for you, and letting go of the things that make your life worse. Take your time, and be as kind to your self as you can, and others. It can often take a long time to change the big picture, so start slowly, step by step.

If you have the time to do it, try and volunteer a few hours a week, to be of service to others who are also in need, who are suffering. This can sometimes have a helpful effect on people in your circumstances.
