 He's a control freak. I'd ask him for an explanation. "Don't answer right now, but here's the question: you want me to succeed, but you don't provide or allow the tools to do so, why? I'll give you some time to think about your answer. I don't want BS, or blowing smoke up my rear, I want a real answer, one that focuses on the question without dancing around it, and one that is a justifiable, which if others would be asked to judge your answer they would state your reasoning is correct."
Then just walk out of the room. Understand too Marriage is not about control, it's about two people sharing time because they choose to be with the other, not become property of the other.
