A female Australia age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I constantly worry that my loved ones are going to die. For instance, if I have not heard from them, I worry that something bad has happened to them. Or, if they have to fly somewhere, I worry so much about their safety. This stressful, obsessive worry really does get out of hand. I almost feel that something bad has happened even though it hasn't! I want to know if anyone experiences this and also if anyone has some good advice for how I can deal with this? It really becomes too much.

Thanks for your help.

So_Very_Confused agony auntIF you worry too much it could be medical and you may have Obsessive Compulsive disorder (OCD like marieclaire suggested) and that can be fixed with medication.

WE all worry when folks fly… I just gave a person a dollar to make a charity donation at the end of her flight so that it would insure her safety in the flight. It’s an old Jewish custom that you will be held safe while you are on a mission of charity…. So see EVERYONE worries a LITTLE..

It’s when it becomes obsessive and irrational that you have to be concerned. If it’s negatively impacting your life or others’ lives then you need to see professional help.

TrancedRhythmEar agony auntHey doll you just need reassurance from them they will do what they can to help their own safety.. over time this should help you worry less. Death is a natural part of life mind you so it is normal you care about their safety but obsessing over it is a definite insecurity and can hopefully be fixed with reassurance from your loved ones. Good luck.
