reader, anonymous, writes (14 February 2008): Basically, to get a girl, don't go around acting like a prat and standing in the corner with your mates, pointing out the fit girls! At your age, girls have generally matured quicker than boys, so want a lad that knows how to have a laugh, but can be serious too.
It can be seriously intimidating if guys hang around in a massive gang. So if a girl likes you, your chances can be ruined if you're in such a big group she doesn't dare come over! Keep yourself with maybe one or two other mates, so any interested girls feel more comfortable approaching you.
Don't dress up, don't dress down, be casual about the whole thing :] but be clean, nice smelling, and try not to look like you've just shoved anything you found on! Even an extra accessory like a belt can make it seem like you made more of an effort.
If you try not to treat them like aliens (well pointed out, last post) then they'll feel more comfortable with you. It's all about making them feel wanted, and not pressured, and just liked by you. Don't push them into anything, she wants to have fun. Have a laugh, dance with her. But remember, immaturity will turn her off you, so do your best to be quite mature. There's a good balance their somewhere, find it.
However, you musn't forget to have fun! Girls are not the be all and end all. Have a great time honey :] good luck.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 February 2008): I am a girl, and I have been to a lot of discos. You a have to remeber this: Girls are just as scared as going out and/or snogging boys as you are of them (well, most of them)and most girls will expect you to do the asking anyway.
If you just want to go up and have a chat, just do it, they're just girls, not aliens! Be confident about your aperance but don't do anything drastic (hair dyes or hawaiian shirts, for instance.) and don't worry too much - it will be dark so they probably won't notice a zit or anything if you don't point it out!
