reader, anonymous, writes (13 February 2007): forget whether they approve or not. if you love her they've got no right to interfere and you should not stop seeing her just to please them. if they dissaprove so be it but dont let that stop your relationship. if i was dating a guy who was lot younger, i would never break up with him just cos my family dissaproved. besides if you love her and dump her just to please your family, you would resent them forever for making you dump her. after all its your choice not theirs who you date, and its not like your doing somthing bad like dating someone whos married , in that case i could see why relatives would dissapprove, but in your case, all your doing is dating an older woman, absolutley nothing wrong with that. they have no proper reason to dissapprove

 Dude, we're all strangers here and we'll never meet you so it doesn't matter what people here think. The more important question you should be asking is: what do you think?? Are you ok with it? If so, to hell with everyone else's objections, you're consenting adults so its all fine:-)
