How would you understand this conversation between my friend and I over a guy whom I like?

A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Ok everyone

Basically the other day i visited my friend last weekend with the guy i like (who also knows her).

Anyway she said to me in the week, "Have you spoken to scott?" I said, "Only the beginning of the week," and she replied, "oh."

So i asked her what she meant by "oh" and she said "nothing, just 'oh'"

lol

I know this is nothing, but it's been bugging me as i said he more than likely hates me and she replied, "Far from it."

Now all i can think is maybe hes said something to her like he may like me or that they have been talking about me.

What would you all take from this if someone had said it to you?

This may be wishful thinking on your part as a way to explain why you haven't heard from him. Seems like an ordinary question. It would be odd if she didn't mention him at all.
